Backlogged

I basically didn’t blog all summer.  We got back from summer vacation in the US on August 3rd and then we left for a short trip to Bali on August 8th.  We just got back this last Sunday.  The older kids started school yesterday.  Today Katelyn and I went up to school to meet her teacher and see her classroom.  I need to post 62 pictures in order to catch up…yikes!  That’s a lot of pictures.  I am pretty sure I have taken at least one picture a day or pretty close to it.  I guess I’ll start with what today’s numbered picture should be and then try and play catch-up over the next few posts.

Katelyn with her new early childhood teacher.  This sweet teacher is the same one Audrey had when she was in the early childhood program at the International School.  She’s a great teacher.  We hope Katelyn transitions well to being in school and that she has a good year. I sure will miss her hanging out with me all day.

I couldn’t get a good picture of the kids before school yesterday since the bus was already downstairs waiting so I got one of them after they came home.  Audrey is starting 1st grade and Joseph is starting 3rd grade!

Cool display at the new airport in Bali.  The airport is still under construction. We flew back from Bali on Sunday.

An almost family picture at a well-known Hindu temple in Bali.  Audrey was being disagreeable and refused to get in the picture. Saturday was a fun day.  We rented a bus and took an outing to the North part of Bali.  We saw the temple, a beautiful waterfall, and some hot sulfur springs.

Picture of my sweet girls at the Jakarta airport.  Doss had a couple of days of vacation for Idul Fitri so we headed to Bali for a long weekend.  The airport was pretty crowded.
